  • Cross sell and retain existing commercial relationships while maintaining asset quality.
  • Make presentations on specific credit relationships and participate in the bank’s loan approval process, recommending approval and appropriate structure of credits.
  • Participate in community and business functions to ensure a positive image for the bank.
  • Establish referral contacts within the community.
  • Develop commercial loans, deposits and fee income.
  • Generate new business through prospecting, outside calling, networking and referrals.
  • Make a substantial number of outside, in-person calls on prospects and clients.

Qualified candidates will have a proven track record of developing and retaining commercial loan business and must have local Twin Cities market knowledge.

This is an excellent opportunity for a senior credit analyst to contribute to the continued success of the bank, its customers, and employees. Responsibilities include providing analysis and support to loan officers on new and existing commercial and industrial loans, while maintaining credit file documentation to ensure compliance with bank and regulatory requirements.

Skills Required:

  • Strong credit analysis skills, including an understanding of cash flow, plus knowledge of collateral and loan documentation.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to write letters, reports and other correspondence, along with the ability to speak effectively with customers and lenders.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suites. Significant experience with Fiserv/ITI software preferred. Experience with loan applications (LaserPro, ITI, etc.) preferred

Commercial Lenders and Business Bankers are responsible for lending activities in banks, credit unions, and other financial institutions.  They solicit, originate and negotiate to find the best solution for their borrower, balanced by the bank's loan policies. These banking professionals work exclusively with businesses to determine whether a borrower is considered a good candidate for a loan. 
A Commercial Credit Analyst determines the ability of a business to repay its loans by analyzing the borrower's financial statements. This position is well suited for someone who enjoys analyzing numbers to help a company prosper.
A Senior Loan Officer manages a group of commercial or business bankers. In addition, they often manage their own portfolio of borrowers in addition to managing and mentoring their lending team.  Skills required for this position include leadership, sales management and a solid understanding of commercial credit. 
Credit Administration positions involve the oversight of all activities related to a bank’s credit process to ensure the bank’s loan portfolio maintains its value. Duties encompass the entire credit process, including credit and portfolio management, risk management, regulatory reporting, financial reporting, and monitoring delinquencies.
The Chief Credit Officer oversees a bank’s commercial credit and collection policies, procedures, and processes to ensure appropriate mitigation of inherent risks. They sometimes work closely with legal counsel to recommend appropriate strategies to the bank management and board, and are responsible for the overall direction and operations of the asset quality of the bank.
A Private Banker provides an additional level of service for high net worth clients. Duties may include sophisticated lending strategies, wealth management, estate planning, tax advice, and investment portfolio management.
A Branch Manager is responsible for all the functions of a branch location. Duties may including hiring employees, overseeing consumer loan approvals and lines of credit, marketing to attract new business, and assisting with customer relations.
A Market Manager oversees a specific geographic market for a bank and can include leading multiple and varied divisions within the bank. They have a wide range of responsibilities depending on their skill set, from identifying and securing leads, facilitating cross sales, to negotiating contracts.
Reporting to the organization's Board of Directors, the President is responsible for the overall direction of the organization in meeting it's mission, as well as to optimize income, return on equity and return on assets. In addition, the President will provide leadership in establishing current and long-range objectives, strategies, policies and plans, while acting as the principal representative of the organization with the press, major customers, other businesses, community and industry associations and regulatory agencies. This position directly supervises senior officers including, but not limited to, the CFO/Controller, Chief Credit Officer, Senior Lender and Marketing Manager.
