Mary M. Lydon
“Creating a winning formula for both client and candidate is rewarding.”
A lifelong Twin Cities resident, Mary earned her B.A. in Finance from the College of St. Catherine in St. Paul. After graduation, Mary gained over 15 years of experience in a variety of roles at Marquette, First Bank, and Firstar Bank, including credit analyst, commercial lending, cash management sales, and private banking.
In 1997, Mary became an executive recruiter, where her strong knowledge of banking gave her a solid edge in the industry. Mary’s extensive network gives her the unique ability to uncover hidden banking talent. Drawing on her broad complement of skills, Mary formed Midwest Financial Search, Inc. in 2003, based on a philosophy that values long-term relationships.
“I recognize the importance of keeping abreast of changing market conditions and hiring trends.”
Paul grew up in Toronto and received his B.A. in French from the University of Iowa. He has 10 years of experience in commercial banking and 30 years in the executive search industry, including an assignment in Paris.
A recognized expert in banking recruiting and compensation trends, Paul joined Midwest Financial Search in 2003 because the firm allowed him to focus his expertise and marketing entirely on one industry. His job blends an outgoing personality, a solid knowledge of commercial banking, a firm commitment to superior customer service, and what he calls a “side order of psychology.”
Mickey the Office Dog
Mickey joined Midwest Financial Search in 2004 as a pup recruiter. Over the past 14 years, he has held various positions with increasing levels of irresponsibility. His current duties include greeting clients, napping, making trips outside in search of rabbits, and waiting for the daily dog biscuit delivery from the mailman.
